Sightseeing #2

It's been a while but hey, it's never too late. My friend visited, and well, I only shared a few pictures we took while she was here...today I want to share some more. And if I'm not mistaken you get to see my face, too.

Sightseeing #1  just in case you haven't seen it yet!

Well, here we go....
...in no particular order!

We went to the Great Park in Irvine and well...that's what we did. I spare you with the utterly embarrassing pictures of me riding a panda on that carousel...but it was fun. And we were so proud of our stamps. We are dorks! Big ones!

I believe that's a picture of me at Target. Where else?
Not sure what I was doing but I remember I had fun with those Christmas piggies... :)

One of the dogs had clearly fun with Christmas PJ's, too.

It just so happened that we love cupcakes, and even though I've been an avid Sprinkles buyer, I have to admit my heart belongs to Crumbs. Sorry. I love Sprinkles, don't get me wrong, but heck I was soooo looking forward to getting my favorite Crumbs Cupcakes again. I felt as if I was on the East Coast again.
The next day, we went to Long Beach and ended up at yet another cupcake place. Hmmmm, please don't call me a fat kid now....thank you.

One day we drove up north and I was instantly happy because, well, it's home!!!!
Finally I was in Ventura County again. Darn, I had missed it a lot. Still do.
Ventura is my home!! Just if you haven't known this fact yet.

We also went apartment hunting.
We fell in love - with the apartment models...I so want my own place.
However, who can afford an apartment that expensive and go to school? Not this lady. YET. ;)

I just love Los Angeles and its random streets filled with awesomeness... LOVE.

I think we took a similar pictures years ago in Philadelphia. However, it was winter then...and in this picture I'm happily wearing my Kate Spade sunglasses. I would never trade these in. They are awesome!

And we all know that once you are in CA you have to go to In'n'Out. I forgot to tell my friend to order her fries "animal style". No comment. I know I suck. She would have loved it. One more reason for her to move over here so she can enjoy it! :)

I so should have gotten a haircut that day!!! Really!

And I really found my new occupation.
I help people when it comes to their hair and boots!

Looks like I'm doing a great job here! :)

Such a long day...but we managed to drive all the way to Laguna Beach and watch the sunset on top of the whole town! Pure awesomeness!!!!
Funny thing, I really don't remember who took this picture but I assume it is this lady!

all pictures are courtesy of my friend A.

So many options....I live in an awesome place!!
No?!

I think I bored you enough with my silly pictures.
Next time I promise it won't take me almost two months to get such a post done.

Have a terrific day!

What I've been up to...

...in pictures. I know I'm lazy. And I know I eat way too much, too. ;) At least I'm not starving myself. :D

I drink a lot of coffee...and if not coffee, it's a spiced Chai Latte at school.
And of course, that's where this picture was taken.
So glad I'm on spring break now - and all I think of is a drink I usually get twice a week.
Ridiculous.

Whenever I'm homesick, I get fun packages from my mom with all kinds of European candy...this was in a box I received a few weeks ago. May I just say that most of the sweets are gone by now?! Just saying. And NO I didn't eat it all - I shared. But I eat fast, and well...the sour apple rings (not as good as the one you get at a candy store)...well, those sour apple rings were gone in minutes...I'm that fast! I tried to share but...

And of course, I happen to live in an awesome area where pretty much all kinds of food is available. And so I happen to accidentally grab Dolma and Simit whenever we enter a Persian market...I just can't help myself! Thanks to Ashley, I may now have found a great restaurant, too.

Homemade banana French Toast. Awesome, trust me!
Not to mention my blueberry muffins!

And sometimes, I just end up eating sweets...all the time. Even cute bunny cookies...around 10pm.

Sometimes I see a real bunny hopping around, too. Crazy. He wouldn't leave so I took my phone out and snapped away! :)

Sometimes, we end up at a Korean Restaurant and can't help ordering Kimchi over and over and over again...good thing I love spicy food!

And yes, sometimes it's time to go down to the pool and chill by the fire.
Kinda love this the most!

And I hope you can read this...but this was my quote I received from my professor...and I had to give a speech on this. Apparently I didn't do that bad...it's all about how you think, feel, and act in that particular moment.:D

I also bought an awesome BorelliDesign Scarf....I had to take this picture...it was wrapped so beautifully. Thank you again! I love my pink scarf!! Whenever I use it though I forget to take a picture with it. :( But it's been used!!! Promised!

And the last two pictures just simply never tire me out.
This doggie is soooo cute!
He's my roommate's but I pretend he's mine from time to time.
Look at him?
He's a Maltese-poodle mix...too cute that's for sure!!
He just knows how to play cute...he can be something else, too.... :)

And yes, palm trees never bore me. Ever.
Can't get enough of them.
I'm so happy I'm here!

And if you've noticed...I love instagram, too. If you have an iPhone but don't have that app I wonder why? Seriously. It's just so much fun!

So, see?
I'm still alive.
Enjoying each day.
Working hard to finish school soon.
Working hard on enjoying life too.

And did I mention I love California?!
If not, I'll gladly repeat myself!

Fashion Friday - My Spring Outfit

Happy Friday everyone!!!

I'm linking up with Kori today!!!
Finally!

Spring's around the corner, and I hope that's true for all of us.
It's been a long week...but I'm glad I'm here today finally sharing one of my favorite outfits...because, well, I need a new outfit that says girlie, age appropriate, and fun!

I love Spring

I love that this outfit is so simple and so easy.
Wish I had the money...but hey, I have time now to go out and shop for similar items that are affordable!

Are you linking up with Kori?!
Even if not, it doesn't hurt to look at more fashion inspiration. I know I will!

Kony 2012

Most of us have seen this...but this message needs to be spread. Heck, my favorite teacher of all times even sent us all an email with this link. Hardly happens. And I would even accept her as a friend on Facebook if that would ever happen. Yes, that's how much I like that teacher. But I digress.

Most of have seen this already...but it doesn't hurt to see it again.
No words are needed.
It's all said in this video!

Listen, carefully!

What the Hell!!!

As for today, I decided to link up with the awesome and fun Christianna over at The Girl with the Blue Bow and her weekly link up What The Hell Wednesday!

My What the Hell moments today, heck this week, are very simply, very short, but really to me, all WHAT THE HELL-moments...

...so, well, mom called me today telling me she wants to be on Facebook.
Now don't get me wrong, I think she's got a point there. She gets to see my pretty face, or the pretty faces of the dogs, and where I am...she also gets to see my friends and all. Sure, why not. I suck at emailing and sending her pictures. And when I do she tells me they are all crooked or upside down. Hmmm....I blame it on her email provider because when I send it to anyone else no one seems to have a problem, and having used the internet for so long I should know how it all works.
So yeah, she literally begged me to make her a page or something. I just don't know if she'd enjoy it!! Hmmm....any thoughts on that?!

I also had a test today, and well, we normally have a lecture after that, but nope...today my professor decided it was time to let us go early. I loved it, I just wished I had known otherwise I wouldn't have dragged all my stuff with me. Plus, I hate running towards the bus station...I just hate it. So while she slowly announced that it was time to leave the class room, I ran out...because I had less than 4 minutes for me to get to the bus stop. Thanks. But hey, I made it! *including a 100% on that test - just got the results sent to me* Wooohoo!

Today's "what the heck moment" is...that time goes by way too fast.
It's a silly saying and I can't stand it that much, but heck it is true!!
Today, it's been a year that we lost someone in our family and it's weird to think of it. One full year. WOW.
Time is a bitch...that's all I'm saying. ;)

So, what the hell?!
Really!!

Let's have a party, smile, dance, sing, laugh, whatever...life's awesome, life's fabulous...even when it's the shittiest days when everything hurts and nothing seems to go right.

And if you still don't think so, please read HER blog...if you haven't, start from like 2010 on.
Life's a bitch, time's a bitch...so enjoy every second you got!
Every single darn second!
NOW!

Really, what the hell are we all complaining about?!

Still Alive...

I miss Man Candy Monday.
I miss funny Monday posts.
I am behind.
I am lazy.

However, I'm hoping things slow down by Wednesday and I can fully be MOI again.
We all want that, don't we?!

Happy sneezing day...
...I seriously hate my allergies.

But I kinda love them, too.
Say what?
Yes.
Because I've been enjoying warm weather...
...it's either sneezing, and having slightly red eyes, or freezing weather in Europe.
I'll take the sun.
For sure!

Oh, and I think I'll be having a fabulous spring break...soon!
YES.
Soooooo needed!

Happy Saturday!

I'm still alive!

Hope you all enjoyed three spontaneous guest posts by my awesome friend Sierra! It wasn't planned that I have someone guest blog but that's exactly what I like...the unplanned decisions you make in your life. Glad I said yes. It helped a lot knowing I'm not fully neglecting my blog!
Thanks for blogsitting!

Yes, I was busy, and I just couldn't find time to go online and do anything else but school work. It'll pay off in the end but right now I question my decision to go back to college. Why on earth do I want another degree? Worth it? Maybe. Just the studying part is pissing me off.

Nonetheless, life's good so far.
On Wednesday I got a perfect compliment and I couldn't be happier about it.
Wednesday night I also enjoyed watching Modern Family; a much needed distraction.
If you don't watch that show you are missing out big time. It's awesome!!!!
I love Phil and Cam equally...and Gloria just cracks me up!
Did I mention I love Wednesdays?!

And, yes, I would also like to introduce to you my friend and her blog. Remember when I quickly talked about car problems we had a couple of weeks ago? Her interpretation of that day and even week can be read right here. While reading her version I re-lived every moment. Cracked up, too. It was quite the adventure.

Today, it being Saturday...March 3...I know two people who are celebrating their birthdays today.
Happy Birthday to both of you ladies, you know who you are!
And to add some birthday glam to this, I'm going to Huntington Beach today to celebrate someone else's birthday as well. Is it the birthday week or the birthday month of the year?! Really?!!

Worst part?!
I need a birthday gift ASAP!!!!

I know I suck!

xoxo

Gardens: It's All in the Details

Hello! It's me again. But don't worry - Selma will be back soon, I promise. Since it's midterm time for her she's working hard but she misses you all!

So I'm back to entertain you. This time it's all about gardens. Not just any garden. Enchanting gardens. Beautiful gardens. Did you know that with gardens it's all about the details? Gardens that take my breath away have the right amount of elements that truly make the garden come alive with beauty. I'm talking not just flowers, but garden gates, sheds, garden chairs, and fountains that bring you comfort and solace during the warm months.
One such element is a hammock. Can't you imagine just swinging away in the garden on your hammock on a hot summer day? I can and that's why I absolutely love this entire look in the garden - it's simply beautiful.
Another detail to consider for your garden are garden fountains. Use your imagination and incorporate dreamy fountains that capture the theme of your garden. If you want the garden to remind you of your love of the ocean why not incorporate playful dolphins as your fountain? I love this fountain and would love to have a garden with a dolphin fountain just like this.
If you've recently purchased a home why not incorporate a garden path? Having a garden circle your home with a lovely pathway is beautiful and inviting. I would love inviting guests over to my home with a fun garden like this to show off!
Don't forget to enjoy your garden and pick some flowers! You can set up a garden party for you and your girlfriends or you can sit outside and enjoy your flowers while reading a good book. It's your garden - sit back and enjoy it.
A garden shed is another detail for your garden that you can't afford to miss. Incorporating a shed not only holds all of your garden treasures, but it can become a place where you have certain plants, supplies, and dreams that you are planning for your garden.

I would love to have a garden someday. My brother actually planted a garden in our backyard and it's been fun eating the fruit and veggies that come from his garden during the summer time. One day I hope to have an enchanting garden full of beautiful flowers, a garden shed, and a gate that brings me into a treasure trove of curiosities. Remember - with a garden it's all in the details and all of these details certainly bring these gardens to life.
